In a world where ideals have less and less room to exist, where ethics have given way to aesthetics and morality to corruption, it seems pointless to continue defending impossible dreams. Or is it? Do we today, more than ever, need <strong>Dulcinea<\/strong>? Perhaps she\u2014through humor, pain, irony, and absolute sincerity\u2014is the only one capable of giving us that answer.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Juan Carlos Rubio writes and directs this production in which<\/strong>, in the director\u2019s own words, \u201c<strong>Paloma San Basilio<\/strong> will sing, of course, accompanied on the piano by a genius who is indispensable in both of their lives: Julio Awad. But above all, and beyond everything else, in <strong><em data-start=\"1301\" data-end=\"1311\">Dulcinea<\/em> Paloma <\/strong>will <em data-start=\"1324\" data-end=\"1333\">PERFORM<\/em>\u2014in capital letters\u2014that ideal woman, forged through clich\u00e9s and fantasies by the most famous knight-errant in the world, who now tells us her story from another angle: the one only she knows, the one that books of chivalry (brilliant though they may be) have never been able to capture.
